Wooden Shields

Wooden shields are a versatile, attractive way to display an achievement. Typically hung on a wall or displayed in a showcase, they can be easily read and understood without the need to pick up and examine closely like a trophy cup does.

Wooden shields can be furnished with either gold or silver coloured hardware, usually consisting of a title plate or ‘ribbon’, smaller ‘side shields’ that are added as time progresses and winners are announced, and sometimes a team or club logo in the centre for increased visual effect.

Here at Crown we can offer a range of shields varying in size from 150mm right up to nearly a metre high. Cost-effective timber veneer options are available, or alternatively, we can provide a custom-made solid timber shield, from a variety of native and exotic woods cut to any size or shape.

Once a new winner is desired to be added to the award, we can either install the new side shield in-house, or send the new shield out in the courier for self-install. Side shields can be nailed in place with nickel plated pins, or simply self-adhesive for self-installation.
